Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also commonly known as “Tapping”, is an incredibly versatile technique that compliments Hypnotherapy, NLP and Life Coaching. The process is very easy to follow and its effects are often felt during the first session. EFT involves tapping specific points of the body (primarily the head, face and hands) in a certain sequence to release blockages and remove unwanted feelings.
As with Acupressure, tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points; known areas of the body where energy flows. A blockage or imbalance in the flow of energy can cause distress or ill health so tapping on these meridian points restores the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues. EFT helps to regulate the nervous system to help us feel more calm, relaxed and centered which creates a powerful mind/body connection.
People often use EFT as a “self-help” technique when they are feeling anxious or stressed however, it can also be used before an event that may be expected to cause stress or anxiety.
